Favorite sailing boots ever—comfortable and tons of grip

Published by TakeMeToHawaii on Jun 22nd 2016

I bought these boots for the Transpac and tested them first on the Spinnaker Cup and CYC Race to Mackinac. I've loved them every moment I had them on. First, they're comfortable and they keep my feet warm and dry. That's the primary reason for boots obviously. I usually wear them with wool ski socks. I love that there's the inner neoprene boot that you put your foulies over, and the outer gaitor to keep water out—and the gaitor drains! So if you are hit with a big wave you don't end up with water down your boots. But the thing I love the most about the boots is how much grip they have, up the toe and all the way up the heel. When conditions are big, I often find myself trying to get grip anyway and anywhere I can, and the huge surface area of grip on these boots has come in handy more than once.
