Like a second (much warmer) skin
I used to wear a regular cold-weather neoprene wetsuit for skiff sailing, but it was always so hard to get into and of course on the boat it ended up tearing in key places like the knees and bum where my trapeeze harness sits. I upgraded to the Zhik superwarm suit and i'm SO glad I did. It's so much easier to get in and out of, has reinforcement where you need it, and the interior fleece lining is super comfy and never sticky like neoprene. The suit dries pretty quickly, but if you do have to put it on damp, it's also not cold like neoprene can me. The suit is really well designed and fits like a glove. I wear it year round, have even worn it in Hawaii, and while I'd rather have had the slightly lighter version out there, with a t-shirt on top instead of the skiff top, I didn't feel too warm in the warm water. For a long day on the water, I'd rather be too warm than too cold for sure!
